good

i recognize that beginning loop, from another song, don't remember which, but anyway i think it was a great industry but a bit too much going on in some parts.

Sephora responds:

It could be several, the beginning has a huge combination. Thanks for reviewing.

hmmmm

its not DnB but that doesn't change how good it is. If u cranked up the drums a bit i think it could be categorized then. like the guy below me said, the choir needs to kick in during the climatic part of the song. As for the emptiness issue, like i said before make the drums more apparent and add another synth of some sort.. i dont know what, thats up to you =p. Love your work.

NemesisTheory responds:

Yeah, the drums definitely are too soft. Too bad I can't update this track, I noticed it afterward as well. I had the sound cranked up really loud when I made this one.

But thanks for the thoughts, you're definitely on the mark about it. Thanks for the review. =D

10/10

well im not very good at reviews but..

this is my favorate track on newgrounds, period. You deserve a higher score then what it is now (4.37) theres so much depth in this, the bass is excellent, clarity is perfect. The oriental feel exceptionally adds to the happy melody. Instruments choice is also appropriate, especially the flute.

I also love the alteration with the chorus in the middle, gave me chills.

Overall i think its a masterpiece, the end was a tad long, but it had a very satisfying ending.

NemesisTheory responds:

I wouldn't say that you were bad with reviews. What's wrong with this? Nothing. Reviews are basically opinions, right? So no matter what you say, it's good as long as it is what you feel. :p

I'm definitely glad to hear you've liked it! :D

good work

i love this song but i wish the piano came in sooner, it seemed to add more depth.

ArcaneClock responds:

Thanks! I agree with you about the piano, however, because I was not able to create a more synchronized/advanced piano sequence due to midi controller lag issues (and to avoid repetition) I decided not to over-extend the main melody and instead used the piano as a closer.

nice

great mix on overlord, its fast paced, which is good for a flash video. i honestly dont know what to say lol its 1am sooooo ill just give u a 10 on this, another well done piece.

paradiddlesjosh responds:

Thanks for your review.

nice

me being a runescape player myself, id always turn off the music ingame because it was so fruity, but this nonMID version really shows that if done correctly, rs music can be turned into amazing songs. Well done.

paradiddlesjosh responds:

Thanks for your review. Y'see, the music for RS is well-written; it's just in a MIDI format -- which has bad sound quality compared to the real thing (or the soundfont thing I've got going. :P). What I find as worse is that people on NG who do "remixes" or "arrangements" of RS songs always take the MIDI and just paste stuff on top of it -- everything from badly EQ'd instrument samples to God-awful default beats from FL STUDIO 4. And that sounds even worse.

omfg?
